Help us support the memory of my mom, Kathy, and her fight with Parkinson's

On April 13th, 2020, we lost my mother, Kathy (our team's namesake), in the fight against Parkinson's and all that comes with it. These are surreal time we are living in and we wish we could gather with all of our friends and family to remember her, hug and reminisce, but that will have to wait.

She was a fierce advocate for fund rasing and research and her last effort in that goal was to donate her brain to Parkinson's research. She was diagnosed in 1986 at 39 years old and had deep brain stimulators implanted in 1999. She hoped that the effects of Parkinson's that she went through could be studied and could benefit those who are still around and living with this life changing disease.

She didn't suffer from Parkinson's, she lived with it and she fought against it. She was a strong, fierce and stubborn to the end, she wanted to be independent despite her limitations and she went out of her way to take care of others above herself.

Her family and friends loved her dearly and she will be deeply missed. Please honor her memory if you can with a donation and keep her in your thoughts. <3

The walk this year has been postponed, but not forgotten. 100% of all donations go directly to Parkinson's research. We will stand strong and walk together when we can.
