Help me raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's Disease research!

Some Family and Friends along with a Great Group of people from NY Institute of Technology / Rock Steady Boxing will be participating in the 2020 Parkinson’s Unity Walk in New York City’s Central Park Saturday April 25th! Diane and I participated in the Unity Walk in 2017 and 2018 and we raised over $5,000 each year. Last year we were sorry that we could NOT be there due to a conflict with our calendar, but we still raised over $1,000. That would have been our third year of participating. A BIG Thank You to those of you who walked with me and those who donated in the past.
We will once again participate in the Unity walk this year and I am starting the fund raising early. I will be part of the NYIT/ Rock Steady Boxing Team once they register officially, but you can donate to my page now or when you get a chance. You can also join Diane and I to walk in Central Park and help support the fight for a cure for this disease.
Many of you already know that I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in June of 2016. My Mom had Parkinson's and a cousin in Australia has had it for the past 15+ years or so. I know I have the LRRK2 gene for Parkinson's and I am helping in the research to fight this disease by participating in the Parkinson's Progressive Marker Initiative (PPMI) research study sponsored by the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF).

Why I'm walking: Every walker and donor makes a difference by taking the Walk one step closer to finding the cause and cure for Parkinson's. By joining together with thousands of others, we'll be empowering those who are living with the disease and honoring those who lived with Parkinson's.

Who I'm walking for: Over 1 million people in the United States have Parkinson's Disease - 60,000 people are newly diagnosed every year – one person, every nine minutes. Walking and raising funds and awareness for research is my chance to help.

Why I'm supporting the Parkinson's Unity Walk: 100% of donations go to research. The Parkinson's Unity Walk is the largest grassroots event in the U.S., raising funds and awareness for research.
