In 2016, the 22nd Parkinson’s Unity Walk raised more than $1.4 million from nearly 500 teams and 11,000 participants. At the time of the walk in April, Team Nashville was the 4th highest fundraising team having raised more than $26,000 for Parkinson’s research.
In April 2017, Team Nashville is again joining the Parkinson’s Unity Walk. Together with thousands of people with Parkinson’s, and their families and friends, we are walking to raise funds for research and awareness of Parkinson’s disease.
Team Nashville, in support of Gayle Maloney, began participating in the Parkinson’s Unity Walk in 2004. This year is our 14th year and we are joined by Debbie Meggs of Greenville, South Carolina, who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Debbie is a lifelong friend of Gayle’s and joined Team Nashville in New York for the 2016 walk. Please click on Team Member Debbie Meggs to read her message for 2017.
Over the past 13 years with your support, Team Nashville has raised more than $236,000 for Parkinson’s Disease research. Please support our team’s fundraising efforts this year - make a donation, register to walk with us and join our team; and help to spread the word.
