The Parkinson’s Unity Walk is an annual event held in New York’s Central Park to raise money for Parkinson’s research. 100% of donations continue to support research funded by the following four major U.S. Parkinson’s organizations:
1. American Parkinson Disease Association
2. Parkinson's Foundation
3. The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research
4. The Parkinson Alliance
In 2019, the 25th Parkinson’s Unity Walk raised more than $1.5 million from more than 10,000 walkers. Team Nashville was once again a Top 10 Team fundraiser at the time of the walk having raised more than $24,000 for Parkinson’s research.
In April 2020, Team Nashville is again joining the Parkinson’s Unity Walk. Together with thousands of people with Parkinson’s, and their families and friends, we are walking to raise funds for research and awareness of Parkinson’s disease.
Team Nashville, in support of Gayle Maloney and her lifelong friend Debbie Meggs of Greenville, South Carolina, began participating in the Parkinson’s Unity Walk in 2004. This year is our 17th year!
Over the past 16 years with your support, Team Nashville has raised more than $319,000 for Parkinson’s Disease research. Please support our team’s fundraising efforts this year - make a donation, register to walk with us and join our team; and help to spread the word.
Please click on Team Leader Gayle Maloney or Debbie Meggs to read their messages for 2020 and to make an online donation or click on another Team Member’s name that you wish to support.
There is strength in numbers so please, join us, and take action.
